DSS Academy Facility Security Officer (FSO) Curricula DescriptionProgram Description: This program of study prepares individuals for the duties and responsibilities of a Facility Security Officer (FSO) in a contractor facility participating in the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Both the FSO Orientation for FSOs at non-possessing facilities (facilities with no approved storage for classified material) as well as the FSO Program Management for FSOs at possessing facilities (facilities with approval to store classified material) comply with the training requirements stated in paragraph 3-102 of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) (DoD 5220.22-M). Registration: Separate registration is not required for each course and examination within the curricula. Simply register for the appropriate curriculum and check off the box next to each course/examination that you have not completed. Once you click "Submit" you will automatically be registered for the courses/examinations which you checked. When you have completed the requirements, you will be able to print a certificate of completion. You may also print certificates for individual courses you complete within the curriculum. The Academy recommends that students complete the courses to prepare for taking associated examinations, but if students know the subject matter they may go directly to an examination. FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Curriculum: This curriculum requires completion of the following courses and examinations.
